2011 Ropiteau Pinot Noir, Les Plants Nobles
This pinot noir is softer than its Italian counterparts but its light body brings with it aromas of dark fruit and cinnamon along with bright cherry and plum flavors with an earthy edge. It has a soft, smooth finish and is really a nice wine for the price.
Food Pairing: This versatile, light bodied wine pairs well with almost any dish. Try it with fried chicken, pizza, hamburgers or turkey burgers, steak, lamb, ham, pork, short ribs and cheeses such as Gouda, Parmesan and Brie.
Rating: 3/5 corks
